2. To what extent will we process your Data?
You need to register on our registration platform to participate in the Event.
a) Registration for the Event
When you register for the Event, we will collect and process the following registration data about you:
• First and last name;
• Email address;
• Badge type;
• Employee ID and alias;
• Amazon Company, where you are employed
We will process the above Data to complete your registration for the Event and for organising the Event. In particular, this includes sending the ticket and your accreditation as an on-site participant. In addition, we may also use your Data after the Event to evaluate the number of participants.
Among other reasons, the processing of your Data is necessary for performing the registration (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and upholding the legitimate interests of Amazon (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). In particular, this includes our interest in effectively preparing and performing the Event.
b) Registering via the platform
When registering via the registration platform we will process some additional Data about you. In particular, this includes the type and version of the browser, the operating system used, the referrer URL and the host name of the accessing computer and the time of the server request. We collect and process this Data exclusively for data security purposes. The registration platform uses a security certificate and SSL encryption.
The relevant data processing is therefore necessary to comply with Amazon's legal obligations in the area of data security (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f), Art. 32 GDPR).
c) Recording of videos and images
As part of the Event, we may take photos and video in which you appear. We will use these visual recordings particularly for marketing purposes. For this, we will publish the visual recordings on Amazon internal channels (e.g. Inside Amazon, email) and external channels (e.g. Day One Blog, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn).
If you do not wish to appear in these visual recordings, please inform the photographer accordingly. In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your Data according to Art. 21 GDPR (also after the Event)
We base the processing of your Data on the legitimate interests of Amazon, in particular our interest in effective marketing (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Of course, we will only process your Data in accordance with the applicable privacy requirements. Therefore, we do not consider the interests of the participants to be unreasonably affected.
